A collection of images meant for consumption by friends and family. If you don’t know me or the people in the images depicted here, the experience will be about as exciting as looking at images of a stranger’s colonoscopy.
Something of a "legacy" album, as the girls are much older now, but these are some of my favorite images of them. Made with an ancient technology called "film."
Casey and Keenan on their first trip to Fenway Park. The Sox played the Indians. We left at the top of the 9th with the Indians up 8-6. On the way to the T, we heard the crowd roaring. Big Papi rescued Boston again with a 2-run walk-off homer.
I often wander around photographing virtually everything I see that interests me – even if just for a fleeting second or two. Seldom are these images appealing enough to stand on their own, but when assembled and viewed as a collection, they can convey the feeling of a time and place. The images on this page were all made in a span of time shorter than a single day and in an area less than the combined size of a few football fields – and when I view this collection, I am standing back on that pier, watching the sun rise over East Boston on a warm summer morning.
On Father''s Day weekend, my wife planned a very short family get away to Long Wharf in Boston – we live roughly four miles away. Part of her intent was to give me a chance to spend one evening and morning taking advantage of the "golden hour" in a place I enjoy photographing. Things went exactly to plan, the weather held, and I was able to make enough images to fill this page. I hope you find them as pleasing as I do.
